Plastic Folder - plastic folder

My kids always have to have very specific types and colors of folders. They are difficult to find even before school starts when supplies are plentiful and are near impossible to get mid-year. Here I got the configuration I needed (pockets and brads) in a durable poly and was able to get the color she was missing - red. Even though they're a little pricey I think it's still cheaper than driving to 6 different stores to try to find them locally. Five Star Advance Stay-Put Folder, Green (72111)

I have always used paper/cardboard folders up until I found these, well I used other cheap plastic folders. All in all my every folder last about a week til I got these, these last me a year through highschool, I never cleaned them out, and didn't even rid get destroyed nothing to me it is a miracle folder.

I love these types of folders! Instead of carrying around a bulky 3 ring binder, I just use one of these instead. Strong and durable! They last for a couple years too without breaking. I just bought a purple one to replace the one I've been using for about two years.

so much better than using the folders that are made of paper or cardboard and definitely know that this folder will last for years. if it breaks or gets stretched out i would totally but another one of these folders - Plastic Folder'

Swiffer Dry Mop - swiffer dry mop

I was super happy with the x-lg sweeper until it became so hard to find the refill cloths. Indoor pets make this sweeper necessary. When one lives in a rural area, they just are not available. I hope Proctor & Gamble reads all these rating reviews. Please, please get the x-lg refills in stores again. Swiffer Sweeper, Dry Sweeping Cloths, X-Large 16 ea

This item seems to never be available in retail stores even though they advertise them as in stock. Amazon to the rescue...this is a great product because of it's larger size. The little dinky 10" cloths are a waste of time when you have large areas of wood floors to dust. The marketing people at Swifter are asleep at the switch and missing a great opportunity by not promoting and forcing their retail outlets to carry the product.

I love the Swiffer "Max" (which has apparently been renamed "Swiffer XL". I am a tall person, and my husband and children are tall. Not only does the larger cleaning surface on this swiffer do a better job, the handle is longer and more comfortable for us tall people! Please, give us a break and continue to provide the refill pads!!!!

I have been using the Swiffer-Max for years. Unfortunately the local supply of refills seems to be no more as I can no longer find the refills in any of my local stores or supermarkets. I have a feeling that they have been discontinued. However, the ones I bought here on line are exactly the real deal. Great product, love the larger size. Hopefully they will remain available. - Swiffer Dry Mop'

Logitech Mouse - laptop mouse, logitech mouse

I actually bought this elsewhere, got a nice price on it. I would never consider a long-receiver USB-type wireless mouse for a laptop. I can just see them getting hooked and broken over and over, so it was important to have a tiny receiver like this. I admit I've not tested the range. I have not tested the battery life (only a few days old). However, this thing's receiver is awesome; I know it will not break due to its small stature.

The mouse itself was found fine on Windows Start 7 and also XP Home edition on two computers. It's a bit more sensitive than my older USB plug in mouse so I pulled down the pointer speed in control panel.

I generally dislike mouses/mice (?) of this shape as it is stub-nosed and quite tall. That is my main complaint about it but I knew that going in so I cannot ding it a star and it is otherwise a large enough mouse not to frustrate my hands--it is not a tiny, pitiful "laptop"-sized mouse.

It has a button on the bottom to turn it off. If left on the red tracking light underneath is constantly shining, but I intend never to turn it off as I think that light pulls very little power (I hope) and it ensures quick wake ups. Wakeup time is about a second if the mouse has been left for a while--this won't bother you. Responsively it seems fine. I've not tried it with gaming. I hear that USB-based wireless mouses are a touch faster than bluetooth, for what it's worth.

It takes a single AA battery (comes with a duracell), which means replacements should be most readily available and an AA vs AAA or 2XAAA ensures decent battery life without spending any kind of real money on battery replacements. I imagine it would work with a rechargeable nimh but I have not tried it.

As I will use this mouse every day, if I do not come in to update this review in the future you can rest assured that I either got run over by a truck or the mouse continues to work as stated.

EDIT: Feb 9/10. The battery died on this a couple of days go, so with pretty regular use (3-4 hours/day) and never turning the thing off it got about 6 weeks, which I think is certainly acceptable. Logitech Wireless Mouse M305 (Black)

I have only had this 1 hr., but it's great so far. I have tested it on three different computers (3 yr. old Dell Insipron w/ Vista, 2 yr. old Dell Inspiron w/ Vista and new Acer netbook w/ XP. Just plug and play with all three. Gotta love the tiny USB receiver (can't break off). The size is on the smallish side but seems fine for me and the wife. It works on our shiney wood desk and jeans; haven't tested anything else. It worked from about 4 ft. with the receiver on the the far side of the computer. (If I am any further than that I can't see the screen anyway; heck who am I kidding, I couldn't see the screen from there.)

I looked at the Microsoft 4000 which is a little bigger and feels a little nicer to me, but I got the M305 because I'm cheap and it was on sale for $10 less.

Update 3/1/10: Still works great. We took a three week trip with the laptop and it was really convenient to just leave the receiver in place when packing up the laptop.

I own three of the Logitech M305 wireless mouse...One in each laptop...I just leave the very tiny USB transmitter in the USB port of the laptop..It is so small, it will not move around in the port like the longer transmitters..This mouse has an easy off an on switch...They are available with cool graphics too...They are compatible with XP Vista and 7 and you can use them on jeans, a blanket, or really any surface with NO sluggish drag...I love this product***** UPDATE....I JUST BOUGHT THE NEWEST MACBOOK PRO...THEY WANTED $100 DOLLARS FOR THEIR MOUSE...I PLUGGED THIS BAD BOY IN AND IT WORKS JUST FINE FOR $15.00

Pros:

1. Easy set up. Turn on machine, Insert battery (included), plug in receiver, turn on and go.

2. Comes with one AA battery, tiny USB receiver and instructions in English.

3. Slider on the bottom opens front casing to insert battery, similar to the V220, except that the battery direction is much more clearly marked.

4. Easy on/off slider also on bottom.

5. Handy storage space for receiver inside battery compartment.

6. Small and portable

7. Wicked cool pattern, matching wireless K250 keyboard.

8. Indicator light for low battery situations.

Cons:

1. May be a bit small for large hands

2. Pretty basic in functions (but has everything most people will ever need)

3. Receiver is NOT a unifying receiver.

4. Battery cover a little tricky to remove without practice.

Summary:

A compact, basic, portable, easy to set-up wireless mouse ideal for laptops. Combines the size and design of the V220 mouse and the USB storage compartment of the VX Nano Laser mouse.

Addendum:

This is billed as being paired with the Wireless Keyboard K250, so I'm reviewing them as a matched twosome.

Pros:

1. They make a handsome couple

Cons:

1. They don't get along and are headed for divorce court, because they don't have a unifying receiver in common.

Notes:

After driving myself crazy for a few minutes, and downloading unnecessary software, I discovered that the M305 mouse does not have what it takes to work with the unifying receiver, and therefore you'll need to plug in BOTH receivers to make the mouse and keyboard work.

Apparently you'll need the M705, Performance Mouse MX or Anywhere Mouse MX if you prefer having only one receiver for both mouse and keyboard.

Amanda Richards, July 17, 2010

I have been using Logitech products for quite a number of years now and have yet to be in the least dissatisfied with any item. This mouse, the Logitech M305 Wireless Mouse is no different. It does precisely the job I paid for it.

This is a workhorse. There is nothing particular fancy about it; it simply works the way it is suppose to work, and works well.

The design fits my hand perfectly and is quite comfortable. The plug-in nano-receiver is quite small. I use this particular mouse on my lap top; the one I travel with and do my work on the job with. The nano-receiver is plugged into the SBU port (I am currently using a Dell Inspiration which is several years old) and that is where it stays. I need not worry about removing it constantly. As the receiver is quite small, there is little to no chance of it being broken or accidently chipped off despite the fact that my lap top takes quite a beating.

This mouse uses a single AA Battery. I have been using this since last December 2009 pretty constantly and have had only one need for a battery change. I always carry a couple of extra AA Batteries with me as I despise using the computers touch pad for the type of work I do.

The scroll function works quite well but if you are looking for the superfast scroll feature you need to look at another model. I personally don't need or want that particular feature. I have tried using this mouse on just about every surface you can imagine from desk top, to my leg, to the floor and everything between. It always works and works smoothly

Please do take note. This is not a high tech mouse of the sort a serious gamer would be happy with. I handle the ones my grandsons have on their computers and they are in a world of their own with adjustable weight, high speed this and that's and to be quite frank, I am sort of afraid to touch the things for fear of having my hand either being evaporated or transported into another dimension. No, this is a work horse of a mouse with limited features; which is precisely what I needed and wanted.

Set up was absolutely nothing. No programs were needed, not down loads were needed. You just plug in the little bitty chip thing and you are ready to go.

The price here is quite easy on the pocket, something I loved about it, and you actually get quite a bit for your money, something which is becoming quite rare now days.

I have absolutely nothing to complain about in reference to this product.

Htc Droid Incredible - htc, evo 4g

Why spend a bunch of money for a charging dock when with this inexpensive device you can also charge your spare battery as well as your phone at the same time. Works for both standard and extended batteries. Highly recommended. HTC My Touch 4G Thunderbolt Wall Travel External Dock Battery Charger

This product works great it is charges both my extended battery and regular battery.... Only downfall is when I use the usb port to charge the phone using the Oem cable it flips my phone out but that's not what I bought it for so it's no big deal to me.

I am so glad that I bought this charger. Actually, I bought more than in the event i need need both batteries charged at the same time. I own an HTC Thunderbolt and these battery chargers have come to the rescue on more than one occasion. A must buy for the price.

With the short battery time on the Thunderbolt, having a second battery is necessary. So far, this charger is working well (charging my back-up battery) and at a very low price compared to options I looked at.

i was a little wary when i saw that it was a generic charger and not an official HTC one, but it works fine, and i love the fact that i can charge my phone while charging my spare battery at the same time. - Htc - Htc Droid Incredible - Evo 4g - Seidio'

Digital Photography - nature photography, digital photography

Written by a professional photographer and lecturer and instructor, and someone who is also clearly knowledgeable about plants, Macro Photography is a very informative publication. The term "macro" in this instance is taken at is loosest to encompass close-up photography as well as true macro. The book is divided into seven main sections which include an introduction to macro photography, the equipment needed, how to look at images, a section entitled `Realistic or Artistic?' and sections on photographing flora and fauna, digital files and handling. There is also a list of resources, a glossary and an index.

The book sets out to reach both the experienced photographer and the novice, and here I feel it succeeds. The writer, having moved from traditional film photography to digital does well in explaining the differences and how this should affect ones approach. I found this particularly useful having myself been schooled, and schooled others, in the days of film photography. The technical aspects of macro photography are covered quite extensively and very clearly, and all are well illustrated by the superb pictures which accompany the text; a useful point here is that in addition to the coverage in the text each photograph is accompanied by its own explanation along with details of camera, lens and settings used.

Of course when it comes to the more subjective area of "artistic" photography there is the possibility of disagreement. Yet the advice given here is sound, although there was the occasional point I would not always agree with; but that is only to be expected when one moves into such areas, and of course each is able to make his own decision, again the excellent pictures here can help one to decide. For example, where a blossom is too large to be in focus from front to back, Detrick suggests ensuring that the perimeter or outer edge is in sharp focus; the centre or closest part of the flower then being out of focus (pp74-75, Allium blossom). The theory being that the viewer notices the perimeter first and so decides that the picture is in focus. However the accompanying pictures used to illustrate the point I feel suggest the reverse; I find the blurred centre of the bloom worrying. I do not doubt that Detrick's theory works in principle, but maybe it just goes to show that there is no definite solution to every situation. Whatever one decides, the benefit of this book is that pictures tell the story, whichever way one wants to read it.

Even as an experienced photographer I found this a most useful book; every aspect is adequately covered from advice on the equipment, how to use and get the best out of it, and how to compose, light and shoot the pictures. The possibilities of what can be done with photo editing software are also mentioned, but not discussed in detail. I am sure that whatever the level of knowledge the reader, one is bound to find this a very useful publication. Well illustrated with over 160 good size colour photographs. Macro Photography for Gardeners and Nature Lovers: The Essential Guide to Digital Techniques

Having read many books on macro photography I found Mr. Detrick's approach both accessible and artistic. Too often instructors include merely the technical, without touching on what motivates their choices. In this book we are given not only the "how to" but the "why you might want to." Mr. Detrick considers the aesthetic as well as the technical, the result being that the reader is inspired to experiment with her or his own artistic vision, having been given the tools with which to work. The best book I've read on this subject, by far.

This is the first macro book that makes sense to me. The images are inspirational. I also really like the fact that the author's thinking behind the images is included along with the technical data. It gives some human insight into the compositions that is missing in many other publications. I believe this is a fine, very useful guide and reference for any photographer who is interested in doing, or wanting to do close-up nature photography. Easily five stars for a rating

I've done a lot of digital photography with a SLR, but so far don't own a macro lens. This book makes me realize that I'll be able to create images that I long for with Detrick's techniques; a new lens will be the only item on my birthday wish list.

I love the way the author both describes his thought processes and shows several images of the same subject shot in different ways. Side by side you see not just the good one and the bad one, but even better, two great images with different goals in mind.

I have just completed reading and enjoying one of the most outstanding books on digital techniques in macro photography. "Macro Photography for Gardeners and Nature Lovers" by Alan L. Detrick can be used as a reference book for both professionals and hobbiests. The remarkable photographs and excellent accompanying text display the insight and knowledge of Mr. Detrick's years of involvement in nature photography. His knowledge and skill shine through this magnificent publication, with sharp eyed instructional text alongside each photo. One is aware that the best efforts were made in preparing this book. - Photography - Flowers - Digital Photography - Nature Photography'

Small Magnetic Dry Erase Board - e-reader, ebook

This is a perfect set for a school locker...each item is the perfect size. The magnetic aspect of each item is so cool! I won't ever have to worry about the items getting lost! This would make a really cool gift for a teacher, too! Deluxe MagneticO Desk Orgainizer Kit Whiteboard

This is a great organizer. I bought the Magnetico office accessory kit a couple of weeks ago for my desk at work and, I absolutely love it. Since everything is magnetized, I have all of my supplies within reach, whenever I need them and they aren't cluttering up my desk. It worked so well that I decided to buy the Deluxe Magnetico for my home and it has worked out great. The board is magnetized on both sides. One side is a dry erase board and the other side can be used with push pins, like a cork board. Since all the supplies are magnetized, they also stick to the refrigerator. It keeps everything organized and out of the way. This is a really great product.

I actually own two different Magnetico sets and have one at home and one at work. This one I have at home and it's an attractive way to get everything OFF the desk and organized attractively within reach. I reach right up from my desk when I need anything and my drawers are empty of loose office supplies.

What you can't see from the picture is this is a very contemporary metal board with tiny holes. On top of that the white part of the picture is a dry erase board. Nothing is attached except for magnetically so you can not only move these items around the board however you wish, but you can also remove them and transfer to other places. For example. I keep the penholder on my fridge. I am always needing a marker or pen when I'm downstairs and I can grab one immediately from it. I have one pen I use on my desk in my organizer so that worked great for me. The white part is a dry erase board for jotting notes, a grocery list, etc. You also get a tape dispenser, stapler, ruler, magnets for other notes, coupons, reminders etc, dry erase pen, stapler remover, post-it note holder. All look great and nothing is more handy.

The only negative is the post it notes could be stickier but they are a generic brand I'm sure. As soon as I refilled them with the real post-it notes, they stayed up perfectly so really no negatives to the set for me. I've enjoyed it for about a year now.

The Deluxe MagneticO Desk Orgainizer Kit Whiteboard is awesome! I have always struggled with staying organized and am always looking for ways to improve myself in this area. I always seem to buy things that I think will help me and I never end up using them. I waste money and they add to the clutter. I saw this and immediately knew this is a product that would greatly improve the quality of my life. It's aesthetically pleasing, convenient, and affordable. I own a dog walking, dog training, and pet sitting company and this has helped me to be much more efficient. I can now write down my schedule, keep track of potential clients, and goals and have them in one place. I have one in my office attached to my filing cabinet and one in my kitchen. I use the one in my kitchen to keep track of my fitness goals and my daily affirmations. My business is doing great and I'm achieving my fitness goals as well. No business professional should be without one. I recommend this product to anyone and plan on giving it as a gift to my friends, family, and colleagues. - Small Magnetic Dry Erase Board - E-reader - Kindle Devices - Ebook'

Office Electronics - book light, clip-on light

the pin that holds the clip kept falling out, so i had to glue it then i taped it just to make sure it wouldnt fall out again, and the light base is big and bulky and doesnt fit well on my kindle without covering up part of the screen Kindle light Clip-On LED Book Light eReader Black Color Sony Kindle book lights for reading

I was excited to receive this book light for my Kindle. However, when I attempted to turn the light off it would not shut off. Apparently I have a malfunctioning light where I have to remove a battery in order for the light to turn off. This is quite an inconvenience. I should have returned it but did not want to go through the hassle of doing so..The light works great for the Kindle and is easy to maneuver..

This is a useless light. The cover does not even fit back on after the batteries are in it. It is big, clumsy, and there is nothing on it that signifies

Sony. I have to tape the batteries in to use it. A total waste of money.

Even though it is so cheap it is not worth the money. It will not clip on in a way that will not inhibit the use of screen. I am super disappointed, but since it would cost the same amount to return as the amount I would get back I am basically screwed.

Mine had glue all over it right out of the packaging. I wish I took a picture of it before I scraped it all off. This thing is not worth the money. It is badly built and very cheap. The head of it with the two LEDs in it swivels loosely. This is something you would buy at a dollar store not for 9 bucks. What a rip off.

I just got mine and have no problem with it. It is alot brighter then the other ones Ive tried and am very happy I got it. I just ordered two more and they arrived today earlier then I expected and real happy with them. Thanks

I love my kindle and thought this would be the ideal accessory for later in the day reading. I'm not sure where to clip it. The light isn't very bright and if you don't hold it by hand casts a glare that is distracting. When you adjust the neck that holds the light head, it doesn't stay in place. It's just a piece of junk. The only good thing about it is the price. - Led Book Light - Clip - Book Light - Clip-on Light'
