The part was counterfeit. The wire assembly was labeled "APPIE" (instead of Apple), and the digitizer turned out to be much less responsive than the original Apple part, with a slower response time and non-sensitive areas of the screen. Great product with like-new results...if you are careful. Make sure to watch any and all instructional vids you can find before attempting to install or you will end up with a result like mine...beautiful flawless new iphone screen covering a broken LCD and microphone.
My iPhone had a crack in the screen, but it still worked. Instead of going into Apple and buying a replacement for $200, I found Zeetron online and they gave me a solution for a tenth of the cost. Their product works great and they have good tutorials to follow.
I would definitely buy from Zeetron again!
The Glass and digitizer kit worked just as described (except the ruber plunger that wouldn't grip!) Sure its not an original apple product but just about everything you buy now a day will be replaced with after market parts, don't worry tho it works and responds to touch just as good as original. Just take your time, be patient, and in about 30 minutes your iphone will look as good as new.
The hardest part was taking off the broken glass, and if not careful you can bend the frame up a little.
