Clothing - boxer, boxer briefs

As the previous reviewer pointed out, the Amazon sizing chart will definitely steer you wrong. I will be returning these for the next smaller size. Here are the actual sizes:

Small are 30-32 (not 28-30)

Medium are 34-36 (not 32-34)

Large are 38-40 (not 36-38)

XL are 42-44 (not 40-42)

XXL are 46-48 (not 44-46) Fruit of the Loom Men's Boxer Briefs 4 Pack, Black/Grey, Medium

I bought these boxer briefs with Amazon.com as the seller. The merchant sizing chart says "Large = 36-38 waist." That's how my BodyGlove and Van Heusen boxer-briefs are specified as well, but FOL... says "Large = 38-40"!

So these boxer briefs turned out a little loose, made worse by the fact that I fall between the medium and large sizes. And after wearing one for just one day, it already seems a little looser than at the start... not quite the second-skin fit I get from my BodyGloves all day (but the BGs are half-spandex or something).

I would have traded them in for the medium size, maybe I still will... Considering FOL's medium is a little larger than the other brands, maybe that is just right for me :-)

FYI, *all* of FOL's sizes appear larger than the Amazon.com sizes by 2".

Fruit of the Loom, gotta love 'em! These bad boys provide first-class testicular support. They sit comfortably in the soft cotton fabric structure Fruit of the Loom has made famous. Only the best for my balls and I!

Sizing for Men's Boxer Briefs on Amazon Sizing Chart Not Accurate-Please Read On!

I normally wear a size 32 inch waist in Hanes Briefs and Boxers

and wear a size 32 in Abercrombie @ Fitch Briefs and Boxer Briefs too.

So I am not sure what happened with this size chart as I bought the 4 Pack of Boxer Briefs from Fruit of the Loom. They were on sale and I did not want to miss a bargain.

I have been writing a great and helpful book for guys and girlfriends about grooming tips for men. I'm so glad I checked out the Fruit of the Loom underwear as I found they are too big for the size listed.

I needed to order a Small from them and instead ordered the size for a 32-in this case a medium. I tried them on and they looked okay but seemed big. My girlfriend said she would wash them first so I took them off and went back to work. Next day I tried on the Boxer Briefs, the blue one from the pack, and they were still too large.

I have given reviews in my new book (that has not come out yet as I need plenty more information from helpful people-so contact me if you are interested at azmodelsearch@gmail.com)for all types of clothing for guys and a chapter on how to find the ultimate underwear for yourself or as a gift for someone. It is 100% accurate so far!

I ordered only 1 new package of the Fruit of the Loom Boxer Briefs. however this time they were in a size Small. When I got the packaged I tossed them on and went out for the evening. Could not believe how comfortable these underwear are for the price. The cotton quality is GREAT and is a soft blended cotton that will keep you warm.

I SENT A LETTER TO Fruit Underwear and will update them monthly if there are responses here. Thanks.d

Here is a Size Chart from

another reviewer that is totally accurate! I hope this review and my others are helping.

I too find it strange to write a review for underpants.

I wish I had the reviews, I would have ordered XXL instead of XL. The underwear fit is too snug, and thus will not wear well. Even worse, their are oddly placed seams that travel the back of the garment on both sides. I've only worn these briefs for a brief time as I am writing this, I don't think I could stand wearing them for much more. If you have any sort of full buttock, these briefs will leave seam lines at best, maybe rub you raw at the worst.

Ugh! Never going to buy unseen clothes online for a long time after this fail.

Right out of the package they fit fairly well. I wasn't expecting perfection for the relatively inexpensive price, but the fact that the bottoms of the legs were extremely loose after wearing them only once is a huge disappointment. I can see some slight stretching, but after wearing them once they went from snug to having over 1.5 inches of extra room at the thigh. Washing & drying brought the size back down slightly but did not last.

I won't be buying any more.

I can't believe I am reviewing underwear but since I bought these boxer briefs I always wear them before I will wear any other underwear in my drawer. They are really comfortable and support even me well : ) . I think I will be ordering another 4 pack so I can wear them every day of the week. My girlfriend loves them. Good luck!!!

Seams on the rear make for uncormfortable sitting and gives a person with a rear end have a super wedge.

Also not supportive in other spots that need it.

The leg coverage is shorter than product pictured. - Clothing - Boxer Briefs - Boxers - Boxer'

Graphics Cards - 560, evga

Pros: After much debate, I decided this would be the card to replace my trusty ATI 5770. While the 5770 was a good well-built card, this thing is a major step up. I went from a 128-bit bus with a bandwidth of about 75 GB/s to this card with a 256-bit bus and, with the factory overclocks, a bandwidth of 134.8 GB/s! And I haven't even tried overclocking it myself yet. All my games are maxed out, or at least close. I play Bad Company 2 at 1920 x 1080 with Advanced visual settings, all DX11 features on, and 4x AA and getting at least 60 FPS. (This according to FRAPS.. and my monitor's refresh rate is capped at 60 FPS) The card is also quiet... no louder than the whisper-quiet 5770 it replaced. It's good to be back to Nvidia. My ATI card was great with solid and mature drivers, but I always felt Nvidia has their stuff together better on that front.

Cons: Not much at all. This card is obviously high quality. I did notice that it gets a little warm. After only 30 mins of playing BC2, temps were up to around 63 C, and I have a large very well-ventilated case. But I suppose that's to be expected with the factory overclocking, so it is what it is.

Other Thoughts: I think this card hits that sweet spot for upper-midrange performance on a budget. I picked this up for $250 even on sale with free shipping, so the value is non-debatable. Of course there are people who say "a GTX 570 is better". Well of course it is. That's why its a GTX 570 and this is a 560. Still, this card crushes most games and normally costs $100 less. And no, you can't play Crysis or Metro 2033 maxed out... but not many cards can. And stop me if I'm wrong, but as technically impressive as the above games are, they just aren't that GOOD. They score sky-high on visuals and technical prowess, but not so much on originality or fun. And even if you DO like these games, this card can run them just fine.. not maxed out, but more than playable while looking good. This card is solid. EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card - Lifetime Warranty 01G-P3-1563-AR

This review is going to get a bit technical, but not really heavy duty technical stuff about the nVidia Fermi cards, just some basic rocket science with THIS particular nVidia card, and I hope you all find it worthy of reading; I'll try and make it interesting with some practical applications of the science I'm talking about.

First and foremost this is an EVGA video board, and I cannot say enough about EVGA the company, their tech support, and their place in the manufacturer's championships at No.1, and I think that is not even debatable, it's factual. With the ONLY Lifetime Warranty in its class for this type of video card, the EVGA 560Ti SuperClocked video card is factory overclocked all right, but there's still room up at the top for even higher pursuits, which I'll describe in full in just a second. But first some of those techno-babbles that I hinted at earlier:

1) The 560 Ti series is the first video card from EVGA/nVidia to use the famed GF114 Processor (GPU)chip, which is an all new architecture with many new features

2) The GF114 CPU is cut on 40nm technology, which means it's lighter and smaller and able to achieve very high clock cycles because it's easier to keep cool, among other interesting features

3) With 137GB/sec bandwidth, a 256-bit bus, 384 Unified Shaders, and 1024MB of DDR5 VRAM (MLC memory to be specific) this card yields 30.7 GigaPixels for its pixel fillrate, and 61.4 GTexels for its texture fillrate, on a 32 ROPs PCI-E 16X bus interface: all this means is that it's incredibly fast at rendering scenery and game action is blinding fast, and all you have to do is plug it in and give it a 16X bus PCI-E slot and you're Golden!

4) It supports DirectX 11.0/10.0/SM5.0 out of the box without drivers, and with 1950 Million transistors is one of the most dense and compact video cards in its base board construction of all the Fermi nVidia cards at any price point

5) The 560 Ti SC is a "compact" form factor video card, therefore it fits into places which the large, and bulky 12"+ nVidia cards and even larger ATI video boards cannot squeeze, so you get a lot of video card power in a small form factor of just less than 11-inches, a very good thing for Mini-ATX and small form factor case builders

6) With Base Default clocks of 900Mhz Core, 1053Mhz Memory, and 1800Mhz Shader clocks it's one of the highest clocked OEM cards around, and with conditioning and proper adjustment can be overclocked significantly, and OpenCL, CUDA, PhysX, and DirectCompute 5.0 are natively supported too

7) In spite of the high clocks, the 560Ti SC is a low voltage video card, because it's efficient and can operate with the GF114 CPU at very low power settings, to wit at overclocked settings of 960/1920/2140Mhz the voltage is only 1.0370Volts at 100% GPU Load

Using Precision Video Card Utility, or MSI Afterburner if you prefer that flavor graphics card performance minder, it is possible to adjust the clocks significantly to achieve even higher performance clocks for demanding game play, or PhysX of Folding@Home workouts where time is the enemy and you only have so much of it to get a given result. I am running my GTX 560 Ti SC's (in SLI in my case, I have two of them) at the aforementioned 960/1920/2140Mhz clocks and using both cards for Folding@Home, each one with a dedicated Work Unit 24/7 365 days a year with excellent results!

My two video cards in an overclocked Core i7 970 CPU-equipped EVGA Classified E760-based computer are averaging almost 20,000 Points Per Day for my Folding@Home efforts, a most enjoyable situation that I have going! As I look at them right now, I am typing on that computer which is also my office server and my media and multi-media machine, with multiple RAID configurations off an Areca 1680IX-8 Hardware RAID Bus Master-- those video cards are cranking out two FAHome work units right now at 99% Load on the CPU for each card, and the cards are at 73-degrees for card NO.1, and 69-degrees Celsius for card NO.2, steady as rocks in Gibraltar. They have been doing this same dance for almost 7 months and counting, having put them in service at the first part of February, 2011, and they have not missed a day of work or play in all that time, 100% up time for these cards and my computer overclocked to 4.2Ghz no less! Pretty KUHL, right?

I also play some games on this CPU, with Crysis 2 and BC2 being my favorites presently, and with the video cards in SLI I can crank up the settings to just less than 1000Mhz Core clock and 2200Mhz Memory clocks and play either one of those high-demand games at full 1080P on my Samsung 46" LED LCD HDTV, which the computer is hooked up to via Mini-HDMI to HDMI switch off card No.1 with perfect resolution and unbelievable game play! There is no end to the joy that my card duo can bring me, as they are arguably the best pair of sub-$500 video cards that exist, and I've got a lifetime's warranty on both cards from EVGA to boot, the best situation possible! FRAPS says I am pulling more than 45FPS average in Crysis 2 at 1080P and BC2 yields 50-70+FPS goodness, an unreal performance from two video cards that I paid less than $500 for the both of them! Amazing!

What is left to encapsulate for the nice people about the EVGA 560 Ti SC's? Well, I do admit that I crank up the fans for Folding@Home work, and they can make a trifle bit of NOISE at their highest settings (80%+ and higher), but that is to be expected if you don't want to burn the cards up to melted circuit boards! That single fan in this configuration is more than doing the job, by the way, so there's no need for a twin-fan setup with the 560 Ti SC's, such as the MSI "Double frozen blah blah" cards have going for those setups...totally unnecessary!

Normally the twins are driving a set of Acer 24" LED LCD displays, that is when they are not playing games and driving the Samsung HDTV, and I have gotten better than 30K 3DMarks in 3DMark '06, and scored 24K 3DMarks in Vantage, which was accomplished with heavy overclocking on both video cards in SLI and the 970 CPU @ 4.4Ghz...air cooling on everything, by the way, no H20 in the house. I have found these two video cards to be my best investment in years and years in video boards. I mean what is there to say about two premium cards that cost less than $500 for the both of them, shipped? That is truly sick and totally crazy, but true! I mean two years ago I paid more than $700 for a pair of EVGA GTX-285 SC's and they don't even compare to these two at all, not even close.

Wavey Davey gives this video card his uncompromising HIGHEST RATING POSSIBLE, the Wavey Davey Double Gold Trophy for incredible performance and engineering, and a Lifetime Warranty in addition from the mother ship EVGA also! Incredible! You cannot go wrong with a pair of these, and I encourage anyone/everyone with the ability to support an SLI arrangement of this video card to GO FOR IT! You will not be disappointed! Can you imagine a Tri-SLI setup with this card in the house? Woooo-Hoooo! Get yours today!

As for single-card use, that is fine and dandy, you can't go wrong there either but what a shame if you don't or can't support an SLI gig with two of these monsters in the house! In any case, this is the finest video card for the $$ in existence today, even after being out almost 8 months now I can still say that, and that is amazing in and of itself the way the video card market changes so quickly, like hamburgers at McDonald's! The EVGA 560 TI SuperClocked video card is Da Kind...you cannot beat it so you'd best be writing out that list for the new computer and include at least one of these in the parts list, and if you're replacing an old video card with one/two of these you also cannot go wrong: this is the best value for the almighty $$$ on planet earth today!

Fraudulent - usb printer cable, usb

Don't pay $25.00 at Staples or Circuit City for this cable to attach your new printer to your computer. It's insulting enough that the manufacturer's no longer include a cable so that you are ready to print 'out of the box', claiming that new printers provide several ways to print including ethernet, wireless, and USB. Give us a break. So you are either stuck buying the cable they offer, which is priced 10 times what it needs to be, or you can plan ahead and order the exact same thing for 1/10th the cost, without the name brand. All cables are made by the same few companies, and are branded for retail outlets. They are made of the same materials, there's not much to add, unless you want gold-plated or a Monster cable. Save your money. This has been working perfectly for six months. The 10 foot length is perfect when you need to set the printer up a little further away from your desk, sometimes the 6' length doesn't give you the flexibility to reach a desktop sitting on the floor, to a printer placed on a top shelf of a computer desk hutch (found that out the hard way!). Fast service from this company, no complaints. Cables To Go 13400 USB 2.0 A Male to B Male Cable, White (9.8 Feet/ 3 Meters)

I've had this cable for 3 months now, connecting an external hard drive to my USB hub.

No problems have come up so far. It's been 100% reliable.

The bright white color makes the cable look very clean and pretty, which is something I can't say for any of the gray and blue cable's I've used until now.

Definitely will repurchase when I need to.

"USB Device not recognized" is more common than an actual connection with this cable, but it is not nearly as common as a complete lack of any communication at all. On the rare occasions that it actually works, though, it works fine.

"Ordered a printer USB 2.0 cable from Cmple and it did not work, my printer would not print. I kept getting a pop up on my computer saying it did not recognize the USB connection from this cable. Put my old cable cable back and the printer worked just fine. Contacted Cmple and they said they would refund my money. It also took a long time to receive this cable after I ordered it. Be careful when ordering these low priced cables.

I used this to hook my new Canon Pixma MP970 to my computer - worked just fine - $8 inc. Shipping from AntOnline - they gave me fine service. Why pay $35 - 40 at Best Buy, etc. I hate to say it but if Best Buy were even reasonable, I would use them - But $35 is ridiculous when I only had to pay $2 to accomplish my goal. I wish there was work around gasoline this easy... - Cables - Usb Printer Cable - Printer Cable - Usb'

Leather Cover - leather cover, leather case

I'm in a good position to review this product, since I recently returned Kindle Leather Cover, Burgundy Red (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle). These two covers are very, very similar.

Similarities:

The form factor is nearly identical. The dimensions are the same, and closed they look nearly the same.

Both are pebbled leather with a (really nice) microfiber faux-suede interior.

Both close with a wrap-around elastic, which also serves to keep the cover in the folded-back position.

Differences:

The Amazon-branded Kindle cover attaches via a hinge system. This looks neater but didn't work out for me -- I have a toddler who likes to try and open it the wrong way around, which bends the hinges. The mCover attaches with molded (vinyl?) corner holders. This doesn't looks so nice -- mine are set into the case sort of crooked -- but is a winner as far as functionality goes. It's secure, doesn't interfere with use, and hard for a toddler to use as a means of destroying the case.

The mCover has a pocket on the inside cover; the Amazon cover does not. I don't care about this one way or the other. I'd slightly rather not have it.

On mine, at least, the elastic on the mCover is a good deal looser than the elastic on the Amazon cover was. The channel for the elastic is also wider (which is neither a plus or a minus -- it works fine.)

The Amazon cover comes in lots of cute colors. At the time of this writing, the mCover was only available in black, although cute colors are pictured.

Reservations:

Very few. I'm a little worried about the loose elastic. The corner molding overlaps the shift key by a tiny bit, but not enough to be a real problem. The crooked holders are a tad annoying.

Overall:

At the time of this writing, the mCover was less than a third the price of the Amazon cover. At the current price, it's a screaming bargain. At a somewhat higher price, it would still be a good value.

Since it was only available in black, for me buying it was a bit of a compromise of practicality over pleasure. If it's released in other colors, I can see myself buying one just for fun, especially if it maintains its current bargain price. mCover® Black Leather Folio Cover Cover Case for Amazon Kindle 3 (Fits 6" Display, built-in inner pocket)

I just got my new Kindle 3, and the mCover Leather case came the same day. I put the Kindle in it immediately, and haven't taken it out since! It is absolutely perfect for the K3 in every way. Just what I wanted in a case. The cover folds back flat and is easy to hold while reading. Fold the top back over the Kindle to protect it when not reading. And it has an attached elastic band to hold the front cover closed! The pieces that hold the kindle to the back of the cover are sized just right, holding the Kindle securely to the cover without obstructing any of the screen or buttons. This is the best cover! I recommend it for everyone who has a Kindle 3!

The case gives good solid protection to my kindle. The outward appearance is very nice and the grove for the closure band is a nice touch. Inside slot for papers and such handy. It could be improved with better fit on the bottom holders as they do partially cover the back and shift keys but they are still usable if with care. Also as the speakers are in the rear on top of the kindle they are muffled by the case and this could be cured with a mesh in the appropriate area of the case. One last thought as I remove the kindle from the case often for comfort changing the top clips for elastic straps may work better in the long run.

All in all for low cost this is a very good protective case and will keep the kindle secure in briefcase or what ever I grab to travel with as well as by itself.

I purchased this cover because I wanted a less expensive alternative than the options Amazon created for the third generation of Kindles.

Where Amazon covers use metal brackets to secure the Kindle, this cover uses vinyl corners. I have concerns about the Kindle itself getting cracked with the insertion of the metal brackets. I really like the vinyl corners; they do keep the Kindle secure and protect the corners from accidentally being bumped.

While I did not purchase the Amazon cover, a friend of mine did. This cover is comparable in design and looks. With this case closed, the only feature not present is the tab on the elastic band. Honestly, I don't miss the tab.

One additional feature this one has that the Amazon cover does not is a pocket on the inside cover. There you may store notes, receipts, cash, credits cards, or any other miscellaneous items, if you so desire.

Obviously, this one cannot be compared to the Amazon cover with the built-in light (since this one does not have a light). However, I have found that I do not miss that either.

That said, if you are looking for a less expensive alternative with similar design--and even similar quality--this might be the option for you.

I had been looking for an affordable cover for the Kindle 3 and feel this one hits the spot, it looks good and there is nothing that gets in the way like I have seen with the closing straps on some aftermarket covers. The four corners appears to hold the reader securely and all the controls are within easy reach.

The elastic band that keeps the cover closed rests in a little groove on the front, I just wish it came with a little tab to make it easier to grab the elastic band but you should be able to easily make your own tab. Overall I am very happy with its looks and design.

If there's a knock on the Kindle (third gen), it's that it is so slim and sleek, it doesn't really fit comfortably in your hands. Also, since I take mine back and forth on the bus everyday, I feared dropping it might mean the end of my Kindle. The mCover lets me hold the device in a book-like fashion, but it's still slim and portable. The outside a durable, decent quality leather that feels sturdy and, with the elastic cord in place, offers protections against the Kindle going anywhere. Inside, four plastic tabs secure the Kindle by the corners. The lower left tab blocks the arrow button slightly, but otherwise all buttons, ports and switches are easily accessible. There's also a pocket on the inside cover for a few papers, etc. The mCover does everything it should, and while you can spend more, I'm not sure you'll get a better case. - Leather Cover - Leather Case - Kindle 3 - Kindle Covers'

All In One Printer - multifunction printer, laser printer

I bought the Canon imageCLASS MF3240 about a month ago, and so far it has exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a multifunction device without the need to print in color. If you prefer getting your digital photos printed by an online or in-store photo processor, a laser multifunction is usually the way to go -- since it's a lower cost per page, it's faster, and the output is better quality than an inkjet.

APPEARANCE/CONSTRUCTION:

You can tell that it's a sub-$200 machine by the construction. Don't expect the same kind of solid feel that you'll get from a much more expensive piece of equipment. A few of the plastic parts feel a little flimsy, like the paper tray. But they all seem to work fine, and I don't have any concerns about durability. Unless you're really tough on your office equipment, you should be ok.

The MF3240 isn't the sexiest looking multifunction out there (if you're looking for a great looking device, try the Canon PIXMA MP830, which uses inkjet technology so you can print in color too). In fact, it kind of looks like a cooler sitting on the desk. But the buttons are laid out logically on the keypad, and from the investigating I've done into a lot of different multifunction devices, the footprint on this one seems to be a reasonable size.

PERFORMANCE:

So far, so good. If you're really a stickler for the highest output possible -- if you need the most crisp, darkest text and flawless images -- this probably isn't the machine for you. Don't get me wrong...the output is very good, borderline excellent. But you can tell that it wasn't printed on a $1,000 heavy-duty laser printer.

This baby is fast! Total time for the first page to arrive in my hand after clicking the Print button (including warmup time) was 13 seconds. It's considerably faster warming up than my old HP laser printer.

It's not the quietest machine I've ever heard, but I wouldn't call it too loud either.

It has a toner saver mode, but I'd call this an annoyance. You're supposed to be able to set the toner saver either directly on the printer control panel or through the printer driver. I've tried a number of times to set up two profiles: one that uses toner saver and another that doesn't. It works sometimes, but other times it'll end up in the wrong mode. Even when I get it to work, I don't notice much of a difference in output between toner saver mode and the regular mode.

I've also been having a minor problem with the fax. I have the MF3240 hooked up to my phone line, and a phone extension hooked into the fax machine. The fax machine is set in Manual mode, so it shouldn't do anything unless I take action on my own. But I've had one or two phone calls on the extension that's hooked up to the fax where the machine hangs up on the person I'm talking to after about 10 minutes! If I can't get this problem to stop, I may end up getting a splitter for the phone line and hooking the phone extension into the line separately.

SOFTWARE:

It comes bundled with a light version of OCR software. I tried it once, and it seemed to recognize every single word on the page I scanned. I was quite impressed -- much better than older versions of OCR I've tried (although I must admit this is the first OCR software I've tried in at least 6-7 years, so I'm sure the technology is much better now).

It also installs a piece of software called Canon Multifunction Toolbox 4.9. This is the most pleasant surprise I've experienced with this printer so far. It allows you to click one button, go through a couple simple settings, and then get a scan and go straight to an e-mail, or straight to a PDF, etc. The smartest feature is that it allows you to pick a target file size, and it'll adjust the resolution to achieve that file size. So it eliminates trying to scan something and then finding out the resulting file is 20MB, then needing to go back and re-scan it at a lower resolution before you e-mail it. You simply pick your target file size (let's say 1MB) and the software will scan your document at the proper resolution to achieve that file size. Very smart!

OVERALL:

Amazon has even knocked ten dollars off the price since I bought it...now it's going for about one hundred fifty bucks...so it's an even better value today. This is a very good multifunction device for light/moderate home or home office use. Given the chance to do it all over, I'd definitely buy the MF3240 again.

UPDATE 9/2010: The Canon Multifunction Toolbox software doesn't work with Windows 7. It's not a huge problem, since you can still use all the main functions of the machine. But you will lose a little functionality, such as the one-touch scanning capability. Canon imageCLASS MF3240 Monochrome Laser All-in-One Printer

Pros:

- Inexpensive (I paid $155.99/free shipping here at Amazon which is amazing considering all the functions I get from this solid machine)

- Good computer printing... it does what a b/w laser printer is supposed to: great on text and ok on graphics. It does a comparable job as my previous HP LJ1100 laser printer. Internal paper tray which holds 250 pages is an improvement over my HP.

- Appropriate scanning result. Good for document archiving purpose. I tried to scan an old color photo and print it in another color inkjet printer. The result is beyond my expectation.

- Copier does what it is supposed to. Pretty easy to operate and configure different settings.

Cons:

- FAX function in general is a dispointment. First, if I connect the printer with my phone (i.e.,in-line or serial), the printer "wakes up" from idle mode whenever I pick up the phone. I have to use a splitter to avoid this nuisance. As a result, I pretty much need to set it to Manual mode for FAX. Also, as other people mentioned, there is no auto feeder for FAX. Fortunately I only use FAX occasionally.

- A little too loud for my taste. I have seen many other models that are much quieter than this.

Bottom line:

If you are like myself who does not use FAX that frequently, you will love this unbelivable bargain. It does everything I used to get done at Kinko's at $156! - Multifunction Printer - All-in-one - Laser Printer - Canon'

Replacement Blades - replacement blades, shaving

I give this blade 3 stars because it does an OK job, and is certainly better than some blades out there. And for some shavers, it is an excellent blade, so if this is your go-to blade don't be put off by my comments. But the truth is, there are a few other blades out there that will work better in your Merkur razor than the stock Merkur blade. Blades such as Personnas, Derbys (also sold on Amazon), Gillettes, and Feathers will generally do a better job in a Merkur. I only post this info because I own several Merkurs and have never found the Merkur blade to yield a good shave. YMMV, of course. Merkur Double Edge Razor Blades, Box of 10

Excellent blades that retain a sharp edge for many shaves. Although not recommended, I have gotten 50+shaves out of 1 blade. The closeness of the shave far outshines multi-blade systems and cuts out ingrown hairs with ease.

Do a search for Derby blades on amazon.com. You will find 100 for less than $20. The blades are of equal quality. I fell for these by purchasing a bundle. You will save money by getting the Derby blades.

Mekur makes a really great blade. While I have to change blades every three days I have yet to find a bad one in any of the packages. The price is higher than some of the other blades but you are paying for quality.

Hey guys, I bounce between a Dovo straight razor and an ancient Gilette safety razor. The Gilette is fed nothing but these Merkur blades and it gives me a great shave. Use anything less and you'll swear you shaved with a rusty steak knife!

I just used these blades for the first time after switching from cartridges to a de safety razor. They are a good baseline blade. Personally I think they do a great job. Much better than the cartridge razors now days. Gave me the best shave of my life.

I'm really happy i went to shaving with this "method" using the old style razor. It's more fun for me. It's hyped up a lot, but rationally though it's nice to have this kind of quality even if it's old school. These blades are pretty straight forwrd and definitely cheap compared to newer style razor blades.

I believe you can use these for a while, if you keep them dry and free of debris after shaving.

These blades seem to stay sharp for countles shaves. Even when I am in a rush, I get a close shave without having to go back over a spot. You can buy a box of razors for $1, or these, which actually are cheaper since they last for many, many shaves. I hate switching out a blade half way through a shave, with these ones I don't have that problem. I like the old school style of shaving; the new three blade razors are fine, but not for me.

I bought these when I first purchased my saftey razor. I have since purchased one of the sample packs that include several brands of blades and have found some that work better (for a more reasonable price). I would recommend going that route instead of spending your money on one brand. - Replacement Blades - Wetshaving - Razor - Shaving'

Disk Storage - dvd wallet, disk storage

This is a great holder for your CDs or DVDs. The size is right, it doesn't bulge when filled. The zipper does not bind either. The color is nice and so are the pages.

The only downsides are that the first and last couple pages are slightly bound when the case is full, and that the spine is a little stiff (doesn't open flat easily). These are minor problems and I would not let them dissuade you from buying this if you're looking for disc storage. Case Logic BNW-24 Polyester CD/DVD Wallet 24 Capacity (Black)

It isn't a hard shell case but easily sturdy enough to offer adequate protection to the CDs inserted. Any zippered case can potential scratch your CDs if you aren't paying attention when you insert CDs, even the most expensive cases, so the comment about the zipper possibly damaging the CDs was irrelevant. The sleeves hold CDs just fine.

If you want a CD case that hold up to 24 discs, zips shut so you can toss the case onto the car seat and jump in, then this case will work perfectly fine. Nothing in the case's construction suggests it will fall apart any sooner than any expensive case. It seems like a very good buy.

I own several Cage Logic camera cases and they never wear out, this CD case is no exception. Quality construction, 25 year warranty, easy-working zipper, there's nothing at all to hate about this case. I don't care that there is no place for a label, since I make my own CD labels. This fits the bill for my intentions, which is a small case to carry some CD's along with me in my car. It is a little larger in size than what I thought it would be, but that's OK, it still fits in my console. Also, the picture that is shown here shows a blue interior, it is black, not blue. I've seen this same case in local stores, the price here on Amazon is half what the stores charge for the same model case.

It holds my DVDs and CDs just fine. For the price its pretty good. Felt kind of cheap and flimsy at first but I see now it's pretty durable. I like it but if you have tons of CDs then I suggest you get one for more than just 48 CDs. Good luck!

Very nice storage wallet/zipper case for the money! Inexpensive, reliable, and necessary! Highly recommend this product! I have purchased these multiple times from same seller! A1 Product! You won't be disappointed!

This is the best CD/DVD case that I've owned personally. The construction is solid, it's easy to slip discs into (and out of) the envelopes, and the zipper closes the case tight to protect your discs. I own more than one of these cases, and if I ever need to store more CDs/DVDs - then I'll be buying another one. Awesome value for the money!

I love Books on CD and this has been the BEST thing I've done! I especially love the books on roadtrips and the ease of getting them out to play is wonderful!!!! As a storage unit...it's a WINNER!!!!!!!!

I store this case in my laptop bag whenever I travel, so that I can bring along my favorite collection of DVDs and Wii games. The 48 capacity might sound small compared to larger cases, but 48 is actually very generous if you're using this thing for traveling. It is a good trade-off between case size and capacity. If you just plan to store your entire CD/DVD collection in your bedroom or something like that, you might want to go up a size or two.

I have been very pleased with construction of the case; after several months of use, it has shown no signs of wearing down. The CDs are afforded good protection, and I never worry about them being damaged or falling out when I travel. It does not bulge or bend when completely filled. - Cd Storage - Dvd Wallet - Disk Storage - Case Logic'

Camping Stoves - camp stoves, accessories

I bought this item with a Coleman camping stove, which has turned out to be excellent (the stove). Regardless of whether you extend this stand fully or peg the legs in place IT IS NOT SAFE. The liklihood that your stove will fall through this stand is extremely high. I spent a long time experimenting with it before being forced to return it and buy a table. On the package another suggested use is as a stand for suspending a rubbish bag. If that is all that it can be used for, it's not worth the cash. A redesign is needed. Coleman High Stand for use with Coleman 2 or 3 Burner Stoves or a Chest Cooler

This telescopes out and two long hinges flip over and lock in place. It weighs next to nothing. It's quite useful, it's no fun to cook on the ground. I never had any issue with this stand not supporting my camp stove. There's no way it will collapse. Just use common sense and it will do what it's designed to do.

We own two of these stove stands, and we are considering a third as an addition, not a replacement. We purchased the stands 8 to 10 years ago, and have used them several times each year. They are none the worse for wear. We put our 2-burner camp stove on one stand and the ice chest on a second one. Based on the design of our current stove, we must carefully gauge the proper width of the stand for the stove, but once it is set up, it is perfect. The feet of the stand have holes for staking the stand in conditions where you might feel a need to do so, such as when set up on uneven terrain, or if you anticipate people or pets might be inclined to bump into it. Overall, we find the stands to be very stable. I like this design over a camp "kitchen" because it allows me the flexibility of setting up each component individually, based on the characteristics of the camp site. This stand cannot be beat for portability: lightweight and extremely compact when collapsed. Sometimes we place a board over the top of the stand to make a portable table for preparation, dishwashing, or to support a small grill.

As for price, we paid $20 for the original purchase, and the current price is not that much more; I consider the Coleman High Stand an excellent value.

Let me begin by saying that I purchased this stand for tailgating and not camping. Before I even knew this item existed I was looking to purchase an additional portable table because I had been using one of those portable tables that roll up into a bag to support my Coleman grill. Those tables can easily run $40 to $50 so when I saw this item for about $20 I gave it a shot. The stand works, but the design could have been better. The main problem is that there is no locking mechanism in place to prevent the side legs from "butterfly-ing out to the sides". The premise is that the weight of the item on top will prevent this from happening. To be on the safe side I bought Velcro tape for $5 and placed strips under the handles of the grill and on the stand itself to create my own "locking mechanism". I have only used the stand once, but the velcro trick worked and I was able to use my roll up table for other things.

I think this product is priced too high based on it's quality (I paid $32, I think it's worth about $20). The stand is very shaky and it really needs to be staked down when used. Also if you use the stand to place a camp stove on it you need to secure the stove to the stand with velcro straps. The good news is that it is very light, compact and easy to use. The height is just right as well.

This stand should work well with any size camp stove. Other reviews say the stand is too big and their stove nearly drops through to the ground. But a quick look at the box reminds you that it is "adjustable". In other words, if the fully extended stand is too big from left to right, then set it up for the correct size for your stove. You still need to use the support bars to set the stove on. This means it is always fully extended from front to back, but left to right is what you need to adjust to fit your stove. That's what we do and it is perfectly stable and is a great accessory. Very light and quick to set up. Glad we own one.

I too found this product very unsafe. Just the slightest bump or nudge, like attaching the propane bottle and the stove was falling through the middle. Not the best thing to have happen when you're trying to cook. I guess I could glue on some velcro strips, like one of the other writers, but I shouldn't have to.

Instead, I did convert it into a trash bag holder. I got it on a year end close out so the sting of an expensive trash holder isn't too bad.

When I first saw this stand online I thought "PERFECT! Now I can free up space on my folding table!" I went and checked my stove...yup, its a Coleman too, so this should be perfect!

The UPS man dropped it off and I was excited to give it a shot. The first thing that hit me was that it didn't have a sleeve to hold it or any clips/straps to hold it closed. No problem, got out the Velcro One-Wrap (love the stuff) and made two straps to keep it closed. Even so, it rattled a little in the car as I drove to the campsite.

It is finished in brown anodizing and I can see where the parts were turret-punched, not machined, and where they were left mill-finished before getting anodized. I can understand, at this price point that's what you get and the anodizing should keep the aluminum supports from corroding for a long time.

At camp, it was a real disappointment. I set it up correctly but it was still really flexible and unstable unless on perfectly flat ground. It has rubber non-slip strips on the top support beams which didn't even make contact with my NEW (and supposedly compatible) Coleman 2-burner stove. Come on guys! Can't even make a stand that is compatible with your own stove? I wound up knocking it over while cooking which was just embarrassing. I folded it up and put it in the truck and I'll probably wind up giving it to Goodwill because honestly it did nothing for me.

This product could be improved, and I could modify it to fit my stove well and modify it to be more stable, but I'm not sure it is worth it. It should have worked well in the first place without me tinkering with it. For now, the stove will live on the table. - Other - Camping Stove - Camp Stoves - Accessories'

Kindle - kindle devices, e-reader

Gregory Peck stars as a Madison Avenue executive whose life reaches several crises at once. His wife, Jennifer Jones, is pushing him to make more money and to be more successful, but without losing his ideals or honesty in a business that values neither one of those. His experiences in World War II are coming back to haunt him, and his ownership of his grandmother's house is being challenged by her former servant. Fredric March co-stars as his new boss, a man who put his business before his family, a decision whose consequences he must now live with. There are a lot of lofty ideas being bounced around in this story, and they tend to center around the importance of family and being true to one's self and ideals. Peck is his usual solid self, probably the perfect choice for this kind of role. Jones gets the big emotional scene in the film, and she plays it to the hilt. March gives a very moving, sympathetic performance, while Ann Harding as his distant wife has a couple of good scenes. Although this is very much a film of the Fifties, the basic message of the movie still has its impact today. It's honestly presented, well acted and written, and well worth watching. The Man In The Gray Flannel Suit

Catch the anonymous face in the crowd and consider the bright lights and dark shadows of that fellow's existence. This is Peck's performance in The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit and he is brilliant. Several reviewers have noted "the Look" of the film and its quintessential Fifties style. This is true, I felt I was gaining a peak at a long lost world: Post-war America, advancing economically, but struggling morally. The flashbacks make this half a War movie and give it a shared history with its adult intended audience. This was a time when adult movies did not mean pornography, but dealt with mature themes such as honesty in relationships and integrity in your profession.

Gregory Peck has some great scenes, many in which he doesn't seem to do much. The look on his face on the train when the man in the coat in front of him triggers a repulsive memory from the war is worth pages of dialogue. The uncomprehending shock from when he accidentally kills his best friend is a real tearjerker. I don't know what other American actor at this time could be so effective.

The plot was a surprise to me, I really had no idea this was such an engaging story. The title implies a dull, plodding story, and I have to admit little prior knowledge about this movie except its one of those I'd always heard about. This has got to be one of the best movies out of the Fifties and that is saying a lot. There is poignancy, humor (the kids always glued to the TV and oblivious to the real drama around them), and above all, a slice of life that is absorbing and realistic. This is definitely an overlooked gem needing full DVD glory. Have the popcorn ready, once you start it, you won't want to get off the couch.

This movie showcases great acting, great writing, and a serious, yet entertaining theme. It grapples with serious issues of family, business, ethics, past mistakes, and painful memories in a truly engaging manner. Though it is deeply rooted in the post-WWII fifties, the ideas are timeless. It is at once realistic and redemptive. Watch it with someone you love-it will be a movie you'll both enjoy.

One of the most interesting movies of the 50s, and one which accurately portrays the rarely-approached subject of ordinary men trying to fit in their contemporary workplace. Peck is a little miscast (too tall and striking to possess the "ordinary" quality necessary for the role) and Jennifer could be a little more varied in her characterization (she needs a "light" moment or two) but they are both as usual fun to watch.Peck's interview lunch is one of the best scenes, as is Ann Harding's plea to Frederich March. The other reviewers have not mentioned how the color and Cinemascope really add to the feel of the Fifties , and this cannot be stated enough - see it on a big-inch TV if possible. I think the wardrobe is one of the best in cinema history - it looks exactly as if it came off the racks of the department stores during the period. A great story, and one which anyone who has been employed in the business world as a white-collar worker, and who has aged thru their thirites, will identify with. Recommended.

THE MAN IN THE GRAY FLANNEL SUIT (1956) is writer/director Nunnally Johnson's ambitious film version of the popular 1953 best-seller by Sloan Wilson. It is set in suburban Connecticut and Rockefeller Center, linked by trains full of commuters. One of those commuters is Gregory Peck, who does advertising for one of the big television networks run by his boss, Fredric March. Johnson is setting up contrasts here. Peck is married to Jennifer Jones and has three kids; March is married to 1930's actress Ann Harding and has a daughter named Susie. Both March and Jones seem unhappy at home, happier at work. But Peck is haunted by his past, in the Army in the Pacific in 1945 after World War Two is over in Europe. Peck has an affair with lovely Marisa Pavan, who gives birth to his child. What Peck will do with that Italian child covers the last half hour of the movie.

I like the film a lot because it gives us the clothes and cars and job world of my early childhood in the suburbia of 1950's San Francisco. And the cast is incredible, including Lee J. Cobb, Henry Daniell, Arthur O'Connell, Gene Lockhart, and Keenan Wynn. The brilliant use of CinemaScope, almost all in long shot with characters standing or sitting at opposite ends of the wide screen, is by Charles G. Clarke. A magnificently knowledgeable audio commentary has film scholar James Monaco comparing movie and book constantly, often talking about his own life during this early 1950's period, the cars his father owned and the hats worn, and the stunning use of CinemaScope for a movie that simply could not withstand pan and scan treatment. Maybe that is why it is not shown that often on TV, wonders Monaco; the only network that would always run it letterboxed, Turner Classics, does not own this Fox movie. Thank God for DVD.

THE MAN IN THE GRAY FLANNEL SUIT runs a long 153 minutes, but maintains interest throughout and was a pet project of producer Darryl F. Zanuck. This is from an era when a high-powered Production Chief could dictate that a movie run long to do justice to a long novel. Monaco keeps saying that Jones' wife character is much nicer in the book and does not harp all the time on the quality of life she and Peck have in Connecticut. She seems only a bit too unpleasant on screen for me, and the house they move out of is quite beautiful to me also. That is a director's choice-or maybe Zanuck's choice. Monaco also mentions the kids watching TV a lot in a darkened living room as not being in the book. This is contrasted against a television network office at Rockefeller Center that only has two TV monitors and not the logical three, something I never would have picked up on, like a man wearing the wrong hat or driving the wrong year model car. It is a very illuminating audio commentary by a movie lover and knowledgeable reader for a very good movie. (REVIEWED ON LETTERBOXED DVD.) - Kindle Devices - E-reader - Ebook - Craptacular'

Paper Shredder - shredder oil, cross cut shredder

I shredded a lot of old college/credit/banking/ etc. documents with personal info. I used one of these sheets after all that shredding and the shredder works as well as it did the first day I used it. No mess, easy to use, no problem! GoECO Shredder Lubricant Sheets - 12 Sheets per Pack (GLS12)

As far as performance goes, these shredder lubricant sheets are top-notch. They are easy to use and don't make a mess. I'm using them at home, so it's not like my shredder sees tons of heavy use -- I find one sheet per month is sufficient to keep it running well.

My only gripe is the price! For a couple bucks more, you can have three times as many Universal Shredder Lubricant Sheets, which are also very well-reviewed. I don't feel the need to store a three-year supply in my house, so I'll stick with these for now. I guess you have have to pay extra for the "eco" benefits of this product.

These are really half sheets, which is why I only give it a four star--it is misrepresented in the ad, I believe. However, it seems to be working very well. It sure is nice that we don't have to mess with oil and get the same results. Easy to use-I recommend.

I got a shredder. I got a bottle of shredder lubricant and I figured I was all set...until I used the bottle of lubricant. What a mess. Oil everyshere even though I tried to apply it aparingly. Shredder tried to jam up because the next pages shredded got too much oil on them even though I waited 30 minutes to use the shredder after applying oil. So I happened to see these little goodies one day when I was going about buying a New shredder. Maybe the first one was committed to "death by oil" because it was always jammed and finally just wore out one day. Once I saw these, I gave them a try and have been hooked ever since. I use the product according to directions and the shredder seems happy. so I am happy. I really like these.

This product has worked well with my paper shredders. The green factor was the main reason I purchased these sheets.

The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the price of the product is higher than the non-green brand. I hope they could make these more competitive regarding price. For now I am willing to pay a higher price for the good of the environment.

only used one day, but so far they work great. the only complaint is the price is a little much, considering oil can be used and it is about half the price. (can be bought anywhere) Overall I am satisfied

These sheets do what they are supposed to do.

An old shredder of mine made alot of blade noise. I fed one of these sheets through and it quieted down considerably. I was told the noise was a lack of lubrication on the blades, causing them to work harder against the resistance.

Awesome stuff. - Cross Cut Shredder - Shredder Oil - Paper Shredder - Fellowes'

Gadget Sets

The product is well made and matches the Corelle Chilli Red Hearthstone dish set very well. The napkin holder could be a little larger but overall works fine. I recommend the product if you plan to purchase or already own the Corelle dishes! Corelle Napkin Holder, Spoon Rest, Salt and Pepper Shaker Set, Chili Red

I ordered kitchen rugs from Amazon that I thought may match this set. So, I was holding my breath when I ordered this, and boy was I a happy camper when it came. Not only is this a beautiful set, IT MATCHED PERFECTLY!!! I am "oh so" happy.

Although I only needed to replace a broken pepper shaker from an existing set of shakers, spoon rest and napkin holder, I found a the duplicate set that contained the salt/pepper shakers, spoon rest, and napkin holder for $4.00 less than I could have ordered the shakers alone. But that's good because I'm sure the cat will break the other things as soon as he can, and this way I have spares. I was very pleased with the ease of ordering and the fact that they got here so quickly. I would recommend this site for future purchases.'

Walking Shoe - comfortable, comfort

I am on my third pair of these shoes. I love that there are no seams over the little toe area to hurt my toes. They are extremely comfortable BUT they only last about 3 months only being worn for walking once or twice a week. The rubber sole on the side pulls away from the shoe. The shoes are like new except for that. I would like for them to find a way to improve the workmanship. I continue to buy them for the comfort but am disappointed otherwise. Easy Spirit Women's Medley Walking Shoe,White/Lt Grey,8 M

I bought 2 pair of Easy Spirit Walking Shoes over the internet. I have a very narrow foot so I have a hard time finding shoes. This shoe is attractive but supplies very little support if you are a serious walker and have trouble with you feet. Both shoes are setting in the closet not being used.

Easy Spirit "Medley" shoes are great. Walk all day and your feet will still feel good. There is plenty of room in the toe box, soles are cushioned and the insoles wick away dampness. And they look great! I purchased these shoes through Amazon and with my "Amazon Prime", saved a bundle on shipping charges. - Comfortable - Comfort Walking Shoes - Comfort - Easy Spirt'
