Small Safe - home safe, small safe

Very Sturdy Safe, the shelf can be removed but i like it because my Beretta PX4 fits perfect on the bottom in the factory hard case. My Ruger LCP fits right on top of that case still under the shelf. The top shelf holds plenty of ammunition and accessories. The locking mechanism is very strong and very easy to reset combo if needed. Stack-On PS-514 Personal Safe with Electronic Lock

If you're looking for a home safe to store valuables and important papers in, this is a good selection. It has available holes in the bottom and the back of the safe to either mount to floor and/or wall. The ability to turn off the beeping keypad is a benefit for those looking for a place to store a weapon for emergencies.

As others have said, this is not a "fire" safe - it is a theft safe. If you're looking for something to protect your possessions in case of fire, look specifically for a fire safe.

This safe comes with keys that will open the safe using a hidden keylock in case the battery dies. Also, an LED will let you know when your battery is getting low.

Of all the safes in this price range, this appears to be the best bang for the buck. Also, at 30# shipping weight - free super saver shipping from Amazon is a plus!

We have two of these and have never had any problems with either one. We reprogrammed the code to our own numbers without a hitch and have never had a problem with it opening. Even with an 8 digit code it's very fast to open in an emergency! Lights change color when it's batteries get low. Recommended.

Simply a great product. We purchased this to keep our valuable stuff in. We wanted something that was very easy to use because we keep our keys, checkbook, wallet etc in it. Fits inside a standard kitchen cabinet.

We will be purchasing another just like it.

I bought one of these safes for storing one of my home defense guns. I wanted a safe that would keep my children out (no ifs ands or buts), would be small enough to keep out of sight and would provide easy access in an emergency. After reading many of the reviews for biometric or no look safes it was clear that they would not meet all of these requirements. This safe meets California's requirements for gun storage and you are able to select your own code up to 8 digits and the code is very easy to change if you want to maintain an extra level of security. In the few months that I have owned the safe it has worked flawlessly.

For the price you will not find a better deal! I bought my first safe to make sure that I like how well it operated and to make sure it met my requirements. I shortly there after bought a second one. I highly recommend this safe.

I purchased this to store my handgun and some ammunition in - other reviewers had mentioned that they had purchased this safe for the same reason. The safe is great - the build quality is good, it's rather heavy given the size, and the door is pretty flush with the frame, which would make it difficult to pry open with a pry bar. Here are some things I liked and didn't like.

Pros:

- Relatively solid construction (solid heavy metal, and the keypad is good quality)

-Comes with a backup key (in case batteries die)

-Able to be secured via screws to either a shelf, or a wall (or both - screw holes are on bottom and back)

-You can turn the keypad beeping off in case you don't want someone to hear you opening the safe

-It has an internal shelf, which is removable if you didn't want it.

-The inside has a padded surface, so your contents don't get scratched

Cons:

-The unlock handle is made of plastic. If someone is going to break on this safe, the handle will be the first to go. I wish it were made of metal.

-Plastic handle can be a bit difficult to grip because it's slippery.

Capacity is decent - I keep a Springfield Armory XDm 9mm handgun (gun is about 8" long), and roughly 10 boxes of handgun ammunition and two magazines inside the safe. Everything fits fine. Overall, I am happy with the purchase, and if you're looking for a small safe, I recommend this one. If the handle weren't so flimsy, I would've given it five stars.

I bought this to secure 4 of my Semi auto 9mm pistols. This is my review:

Pros:

Setup - When you take it out of the box, just put in a battery then set your pass code. You then insert the internal shelf and padding. I secured mine to my wall with the included screws. It took me 30 minutes to set up including the drilling. I didn't want someone running away with my safe and my guns. Very well written instructions.

Security - It comes with a bypass key, in case you forget your passcode and this safe locks you out.

Construction - It is solidly built. All steel and it is heavy.

Price - This is the best price I have seen for this safe in stores and online.

Storage - Fits 4 9mm pistols(without the case of course), 2 on top and 2 at the bottom with 2 magazines each. I actually put my valuable docs underneath the guns so, this serves a dual purpose.

Cons:

Interior lining - The padding inside the safe is a thin foam padding on each shelf. They should have fixed them into place or put them more securely so that it does not move when I take things out of the safe. Not a big deal though.

Summary:

This safe is very well made and looks and functions superbly.

Great value in a small home safe. This won't stop the professional thief but since most burglars are in a rush to grab and run, it offers protection. I was able to bolt it to my floor and it would take a massive pry bar to get it loose. The dual locking system works well. There is plenty of room inside for my needs. - Small Safe - Home Safe - Pistol - Safes'
