Lcd Screen Protector - screen protectors, macbook
I ordered this screen protector and it fit my mac book very nicely but I had major issues with air bubbles. I removed a lot of them but there were still some very noticeable air bubbles. I ended up taking it off and throwing it away because there was no way to get rid of the bubbles. I tried to squeegee them but they would just disappear then come back or multiply into bigger bubbles. I do not recommend this item. Premium Reusable LCD Screen Protector with Lint Cleaning Cloth for Apple Macbook, Macbook Air Laptop 13.3-Inch Widescreen LCD
It doesn't fit the whole screen, just the viewable area so it never looks that nice.
There is no way to get this on to your screen without being in a certified "Clean-Room." They ship it in a plastic sleeve that generates a ton of static charge so as soon as you peel off the backing from the "adhesive" it picks up lint from other rooms in your house!
I almost got it on there but it picked up a small hair from dog in another city, I think. There was no way to get it cleaned up properly. I screwed around with it for about 20 minutes then threw it away.
Reusable? I doubt it.
Save your money. You'll never get this on without getting tons of air bubbles. It was a waste of $10 (shipping included.) This thing is so charged with static, everything clings to it before you have a chance to get it to the screen. I didn't even get it half way on and had to throw it away.
When you consider that there aren't many screen protectors for the MacBook Pro 13" under $40.00, this is a pretty decent buy for its value. It took about 7-10 minutes to install. I used household alcohol in a spray bottle and the included lint protector to clean all surfaces and my new MacBook Pro prior to the screen application along with using latex gloves as another buyer suggested. Thus, I am very satisfied! I was able to reapply the screen protector even after I misjudged the screen dimensions the first go-round and STILL no issues (it covers the glass area, not the black area). I was able to clean fingerprints and smudges from outer edges of the screen protector with the alcohol and lint cloth. If you read the two-step guides beforehand and take your time, you too will do fine. After all, wouldn't you rather have tiny bubbles that can't be seen when your MB Pro is on versus scratches on the display of a $1300-$1500 laptop? I'll settle for the subtle bubbles. Good luck!
First of all, I received one of the defective items. Spent much time trying do something worthy, but finally gave up. But after that, when I wrote negative review on amazon.com, they contacted me and replaced the item!!!!! I did not believe that they would do it, but after several days new screen protector came, and it fitted perfectly to my computer!!!!!! It was very easy to install, and in addition, it does do all the things that are described, such as clarifying image significantly, protecting from scratches, and even hiding existing scratches!!!! In addition, it is reusable!!!!! I think it is a great product, especially for this price!!!!
I spent 10 minutes carefully removing all the finger marks & dust from my Macbook screen against bright light. My patience was paid off!!! Only one tiny bubble on the left side, I hope it'd go away as the product description says, it really doesn't bother me though. Good purchase!
This was such a pain to attach to the screen. It is the EXACT size of the screen so if you don't get it at the exact right angle you'll be removing it and putting it back on a few times before you get it right. It's also nearly impossible to attach it without getting anything stuck between it and the screen. I wiped the screen off several times but still got little hair and dust particles stuck in it. Air bubbles are also nearly impossible to avoid. I wouldn't recommend this, it was just a pain, and I doubt it's reusable considering all the particles it would attract when you remove it. I'm glad I'm protecting my screen but it still just looks dirty anyway.
If you have an iPhone or have ever put a screen protector on an iPhone, this protector is basically a very large version of that. This particular protector covers the entire screen (edges included), so you have to make sure it's turned right and line it up exactly. Yes, the air bubbles are noticeable at first, but if you spend just a few minutes working with it, using a credit card or something similar, you can eliminate most of them. I've had it one for a few days and 98% of the small ones I couldn't get rid of have settled. I personally would rather put some effort into making it look the way I want and have my screen covered than give up after getting frustrated. The price is fine considering most screen protectors for macbooks cost $30 at least. And although it claims to be reusable, I wouldn't recommend taking it off once you get it on.
Tip: When you're ready to put it on, start at the bottom and work your way up instead of laying the whole thing down at once. It cuts down the number and size of the air bubbles. - Macbook Pro 13 Inch - Macbook - Accessories - Screen Protectors'
