Jolly Ball - jolly ball, dog ball

My Olde English Bulldogge has destroyed a small fortune in soccer balls. I was looking for something durable enough to hold up to her bite, but soft enough to be able to bounce like a soccer ball. This ball is perfect, and well worth the price. She has already punctured this ball several times, but it magically reinflates. From what I can tell, this 8" ball is the largest available. It is slightly smaller than a standard size soccer ball. Perfect size for larger dogs. Jolly Pets Bounce-n-Play Dog Toy, Blueberry Scented, 8-Inch

My yard is a wasteland of carcasses from the soccer balls my GSD loves but can't help destroying within the first few massive bites. I don't know what kind of voodoo engineering makes the JollyBall possible, but these balls don't deflate even after being punctured over and over again by great big pointy teeth. The big dog carries the ball around chomping and chomping on it, enjoying the death whistle it makes with each bite, and sometimes actually gets the ball stuck on one of his canine teeth, but as soon as it's off, whoosh, it re-inflates. Fantastic and much loved dog toy that's survived months of near daily attack. And when it was new, it smelled like fruity candy!

When my dog was younger (he's a GSD), I got him an Indestructaball which is the same as the Jolly Push and Play, which he loved, but since it's hard plastic and they feel the need to put an indented area where you can fill it with sand or water, he would corner the ball and hook his bottom k9 into that hole, and pick it up and carry it, eventually breaking his tooth. So, I wanted to find a large ball that he could kick around, wasn't hard, and that he couldn't pop. This ball is PERFECT!!! It's soft, so that when he corners it to pick it up it doesn't damage his teeth, but It's large enough for him to kick it around, and, like the Jolly Balls with the handles, they just can't pop it :-) It's soooo much fun to watch him play with this and I can rest assured that his teeth will be OK. Just wish it came in like a 10 or 12" ball, that would be even more entertaining...

I bought this for my dog (bull terrier mix) who is a power-chewer because it was made in USA. Checking out, the cashier said it was the best dog toy ever and told how his dog (boxer) had not been able to destroy this ball like he did with all other toys. I understand now. My Charlie also can pulverize toys, but... not this one! He has chewed and chewed and chewed. After over 2 years now, it has teeth imprints but is still intact and chewable. I buy them now for all the dogs I know who are power chewers.

Bought this ball for my two australian shepherds. Both are destructive chewers and toys do not last long. Also bought the 14" Jolly Pet Push-n-play (which our 80 lb aussie loves) and the 10" Best Ball. Our smaller 45 lb aussie likes this bouncier ball. All balls have held up so far. Highly recommend for those tough chewers.

Great dog toy! Our German Shepherd puppy is almost 20wks old and VERY hard on his toys. This ball has held his interest for SEVERAL play sessions, he plays soccer with it and it is INDESTRUCTIBLE. He can't puncture it but it's not so heavy duty that he can't play with it. It's surprisingly light and bouncy. It's made of a hard foam like rubber and it really does smell like blueberry (think: strawberry-shortcake dolls). I can forsee this lasting well into adult dog-hood. I bought this after a friend recommended it. He has a pit and they have had this toy for several years and have bought other products from the same manufacturer. Definitely recommended.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seemed like some of the reviews implied this had a soft surface that a dog could grab. Not so. We returned it, as there was no way our dogs could get hold of it. Other than that, it appeared to be very sturdy, so if you've got a large dog who has destroyed lots of other toys, this might work well for you. And the color is pretty bright, so it would be easy to spot when in tall grass.

I read all the reviews on this ball and was eager to see if it really held up against my German Shepherd puppy. Well, its still in perfect form after more than a month of hard playing. Max has lost a couple of baby teeth with this ball, because they got stuck in the ball. But the ball has still survived. It's a really cool invention. I'd love to know how it pumps itself back up? Either way believe the reviews and buy this fun ball. Max has become quite the soccer player as a result. - Dog Ball - Jolly Pet - Jolly Ball'
