An Iphone user told me I could use a microphone to record messages on my Ipod Touch.
The people at the Apple store showed me several expensive answers. I then went on line and found this
product that just inserts into the bottom of the Ipod. For less than $5 I have something that I can
record into my Ipod. It does just what I want. Yes, you have to remove the microphone when you want to hear

This is a great little microphone. I use it on my ipod touch 3G to record notes, things to do and voice E-mails when I'm on the run during the day. It has very good sensitivity and can pick up a normal conversation at about 10-12 feet away and so it would be good for recording lectures. With one of the voice activated apps it makes for a great hands off recorder where your hands are busy and you still need to take notes as in lab work.
I could not believe the price on this. Under $2.50... Including shipping!!! It works like a charm with several bass and guitar tuners I use and a voice to text app I have. Couldn't ask for more except faster free shipping.
Bought this for my daughters ipod. Works fine....just keep in mind that when you plug it in the earphone jack, it cuts off the speaker....so you have to unplug it after recording to enable to speaker to play it back.
Ordered this for the iPod Touch 3G to use with apps like Talking Tom, and it works perfectly!!! We don't even have to unplug it to hear the sound! This gives us a mic AND also allows us to hear the sound coming from the internal speaker! Couldn't ask for more from this! Just hope we don't lose it since it's so small.
By the way, we also ordered the "CHILL PILL RAPCAP, BLACK - 0971-RCBK" from Amazon, and these were both the EXACT SAME DEVICE they sent! I mean identical. So just order whichever is cheaper, they are the same... tested both and they both work the same as well.
I purchased this Microphone so I could use Skype on my Itouch.
It works great. I've used it a few times to Skype my husband in Iraq.
Normally I use my Mac but sometimes the bandwidth is weak and I had
success using my Itouch and this mic.
I like them, but they could b better. I made a string to attach to the mic holder so i could carry it around on itouch case, but it keeps falling off, maybe if it was like a twist off or something, other than that, i love it - Ipod Accessories - Ipod - Iphone - Ipod Touch Microphone'
