This adapter works very well. I used it to convert a long heavy-gauge USB cable to MicroUSB for my phone because the stock cable was too short. The adapter fits snugly onto a standard MiniUSB end. I am used to recharge my devices while at the car. I always carry a charger for iPod or iPhone and a charger for mini USB devices like my Nextel radio. Lately the new models have a MicroUSB input but so far I have nor found a MicroUSB-USB cable to recharge so this adapter cable is the answer for me. It has a convenient loop to wrap around the end of the Mini USB so you will not loose it. Now I can charge my Nextel with the miniUSB and my Bluetooth speakers with the microUSB adapter. Hope it works for you too.
I bought this adapter primarily so I could charge my Droid at work. My work cell phone is also Motorola but have Mini-USB plugs. This adapter works for syncing the phone as well, so I can use one of my old usb cables and not have to buy another full size cable. I have enough Mini-USB cables lying around anyway.
The usb adapter was great...I even loved the little tether attched to it, since I use the same cord to charge a TomTom navigation unit and my bluetooth headset, it kept the adapter close all the time, but after a week, it won't make good contact with the bluetooth headset. Now it's useless.
Does exactly what it's supposed to do; allow you to use one of your numerous (more than likely) mini-usb cables with your micro-usb device. The one absurd thing would be the packaging it came in... just huge for such a small thing. Beyond that? Just fine.
This adapter is simple and money-saving. Just upgraded from a regular cell phone to a smart phone. Instead of throwing away my mini-USB chargers and buying all-new micro-USB chargers, I bought a few of these simple adapters.

Switching from blackberry curve (uses mini-usb) to an Evo 4G (uses micro-usb), so I had a lot of chargers, etc from my old phone. This cable made it easy to reuse my other chargers with the new phone.
I got this adapter so that I could use my old Motorola (RAZR) car charger with my LG Versa. When you plug it in the phone displays a message saying that it is not the reccommended (ie not an LG) charger but then it proceeds to charge and it charges just fine. I have been using it for several months and it works perfectly for charging but I have not tried it for data transfer.
Great little dongle to convert the very common mini USB connector to the newer micro USB. I'm using it for a Blackberry 3G 9300 and it works perfectly. Keeps me from having to carry separate cables for my external HD and my phone, just snap this on my existing cable and can charge the 9300.
All I have is mini USB car chargers so I purchased this for my new headset that has a microUSB port on it. It is chargering my headset so it works and the connectors are nice and tight.
