These pants are a little pricey compared to some of the other options out there, but I feel they're worth the splurge.
My old hiking pants were dumpy, baggy, and generally ugly - hiking pants have come a long way in the looks department! These are adorable - guaranteed compliments. They fit loosely enough for freedom of movement and comfort but are still stylish. They have a lot of pockets, including a fabulous cell phone pocket on the front right leg.
The zip-off legs make these worth the price since you're getting a pair of shorts and pants in one without having to shop around for both.
The material is light, dries quickly, and blocks a decent amount of wind for an outer layer. You won't be stuck sweating away like you would if you're foolhardy enough to hike in jeans. If you do hike or otherwise exercise in jeans, once you try real exercise/outdoor gear like Prana makes you won't go back!
