i had a speck holster (you can look my review of that one)... and i liked it very much but it broke a few months after normal usage... so i went shopping for a new one and i found this seidio clip holster...
so far, so good. It is better than the speck in the way it holds the phone inwards, so the screen is not easily scratched. Also, you can plug your phone to ac adaptor without taking it off the holster (cant do that with speck) and finally its easier to put the phone in the holster or take it off... i highly recommend it. I have tried ten different holsters for my iPhone, and this is by far the best. I need a holster that will carry the phone horizontally (any vertical holster inevitably gets knocked off my belt), and I like the slimness of the phone; it doesn't need a bulky case around it with this holster.
You get great access to the phone. It goes simply but securely into the holster, comes out easily when you need it to, and never gets knocked out of the holster.
I love this holster, I work around a barn and I like that it faces in. I have dropped my iphone with this product on it and no damage, okay honestly I've dropped it a few times. ;-) I'm on my third holster and would buy another, just wish I didn't have to buy the whole deal and the holster for the combo came separately as well. The reason that I gave it 4 stars was that after about a year the spring at the top always stretches out and then I need another holster and have to buy both pieces, all in all I keep buying them though.
My colleague purchased this product for her 3gs and raved about it. I ended up buying one a year ago recognizing that the clip was problematic. As such, I've been especially careful. I reached in my purse to pull out the holster and the clip broke off - it didn't even catch on anything. Anyway . . . I love the size and design of the product, but I'll never purchase another.
I have been a Seidio fan for a while, but they are headed down hill. Never had an issue with my blackberry holsters from Seidio, but the clasp has broken twice on my iPhone 3GS holsters. The first time they replaced it but now they refuse to. Very disappointing.
I had this case for the 3gs for 1 year. The clip broke. I noticed the case also scratched my phone. I had my phone in the case from two minutes after I bought it till I bought a new case. There should of been no scratches. I bought the Otterbox case and love it!
I've had this product for about 6 months now, and haven't had any issues at all. It is very durable (has saved my phone after a good number of drops). I can't speak specifically against any negative reviews, but I will certainly offer this positive review, as I love this Seidio clip/holster.
I bought this case about 6 months ago and I have to say it is great. I was tempted to get the Otterbox as I am so clumsy, I knew I would be dropping it. The Otterbox reviews turned me off. I am happy they did as this case has been great. I did purchase screen savers for it which was helpful the time I dropped my phone in mid stride and kicked it across a parking lot....phone is still perfect! I have dropped the phone countless times and I have never had a problem with it. I wear it on scrubs a lot and stays great. If I wear on yoga pants, stays fine but would not run with it.
