Antenna Boosters - antenna boosters, cell signal booster
I went to purchase one of these earlier and when I realized the benefit, I bought the 10 pack so I could help friends as well. Most reviews on this product give mixed views... some say they don't work at all, don't waste your money while others say that they did get a better signal. First, on the instructions for the metallic "sticker", it says that if you receive 0 to 1 bar, not even a POWERED phone booster will help you... you MUST have at least 2 bars. I have poor reception in my apartment building and get 2 bars in the house.. I have to stick my head out the window to talk on the phone. When I installed the product, I immediately got an xtra bar... I would recommend this to anyone with 2 to 3 bars that wants to get a better signal... 10 Pack of Universal Generation X Cell Phone Antenna Booster Signal Enhancers
Great product. Very simple yet very useful.
We live in Long Island, NY & in our specific area, we have a poor reception for AT&T along with many dead spots in the house. I also have four iPhones (all of them are heavy users), and we used to get a lot of dropped calls.
I heard about this boosters from TV, and thought about giving it a try, since I was getting 10 pack under 3$!!!
So, I sticked one of them on the back side of the iPhone, 1 to 1/4 inch below Apple logo (since the cell tower antenna module is located right underneath) & restarted the iPhone.
Now I am getting 5 full bars that are much more consistent than earlier, less dropped calls & I get reception everywhere in the house (including basements, where I practically had no reception). I have also noticed fewer dropped calls.
In short, if you are an iPhone user like me, its gonna to work, as long as you place it correctly. And I know that poor reception & dropped calls are major issues with the iPhone. Other phones should notice a boost in reception too, but since I have only tried with iPhone, I cannot be 100% sure about others.
Let me explain what these stickers are. They contain strips of metal which are commonly used metals for antennas (copper, etc.). In order to boost a signal what you would really need is a longer antenna or a higher power from the phone to its own antenna (which is done automatically). Since this strip of metal is not connected to the phone in any way it cannot directly improve your signal. However, in certain cases when the strip is sticked onto the right area of the phone, it can boost the signal because it is a piece of metal affecting the waves direction to the antenna, just like a dish creates a better directional signal. All it's really doing is being a piece of metal inside your phone affecting in some way or in some cases in no way your phone signal. It might help you with your phone it's worth a shot, there are good claims that it works with some phones so just put it in the way other people put it in to theirs and hope for the best! Thanks for reading, hope this made it clear.
what the product promised, it surely delivered. For some reason, our house is "too thick" for the wireless signal to penetrate. This product helped boost the bars where I do not have to be outside anymore to get a strong signal. It also have helped reduced drop calls and interference. I am sold! It was my biggest frustration before, but not anymore. However, my husband is complaining that on his cell phone, it did bad than good. He just does not know how to work the signal, hard to change his ways! '*LOL* I need to help him to figure it out.'
I have used these on all my phones for the past 5 years. The only way they work is if you follow the instructions to the letter. Most of all keep your oily figures off the surface, handle by only using the edges! You must have at least 1 bar....It will take it up to 2 or more bars...I also use a repeater antenna in my car which adds another bar! Buying 10 at a time makes for a great give away to friends and family !
This product will work on a motorola cliq xt, HOWEVER my brother tried it on his HTC EVO and it completely screwed it up!! It crashed and kept giving error messgages, as well as disabling the phone entirely
After trying them, I am not sure if I imagined them to help, or if my hopefulness got the better of me. They might boost your bars slightly in certain conditions, but definately not anything to write home about. - Cell Phone Accessories - Signal Booster - Cell Signal Booster - Antenna Boosters'
