Digital Photography - digital frame, digital frames
I wanted a simple, clean looking photo frame for my home office and this fit the purpose really well. The frame came very quickly after ordering and was very well packaged for shipping. The frame is well made and the glossy front side gives it an expensive look. The picture quality is good - nice color, bright screen, and no flickering. The resolution is average for a 7-inch photo frame, which is to say that photographs look fine when viewed normally, but not a lot of detail if you get in close and look at it from say 6 inches away.
In all a very satisfying purchase: good quality, beautiful design, the price is right, and performance is at least as good or above normal expectations. Micca M701 7-Inch Digital Photo Frame (Black)
We recently bought it as a gift for our friends. The displayed pictures look nice and the photo frame, overall, is okay for the price. Our only disappointment is that the product we received does not have a built-in memory for 15 photos, as indicated in the Features and Specifications. We sent an email to Micca Customer Support and they were fast to respond. We were informed that "the current M701 no longer has the built-in slots for 15 pictures" and that they need to update the product description. They also offered to reimburse us if we return the product; however, we have already given it to our friends. Again, overall, the photo frame is okay but potential buyers should know about this missing feature. The product description needs to be updated asap!
Shipped promptly, arrived in good condition. Its an attractive little picture frame with good quality picture. Didn't find the instructions very helpful but managed to figure out enough to make it work. I bought the same frame with MP3 last year for my house so this year in order to save money I just got the simple one for my office. It looks great!
Picked this up as an gift for the grandparents. Didn't want to spend a ton and I guess I got what I paid for in that respect. It works and I shouldn't complain having gone for the bargain rather than features, but I'm pretty disappointed in the resolution. I guess in the age of iPads and laptops everywhere, I figured the LCD resolution bit would have trickled down to this.
Also, in my quick installation of photos, I didn't seem to find any on-board memory or storage capacity though I could have sworn that I read that it at least had some (15 fav pics?). Had to donate a USB flash drive to the cause, though it does take SD cards as well...just didn't have one lying around.
All in all, there are probably better models to buy and if I were to do it again, I'd drop the coin for a nicer one.
Edit: About a week after I bought this product (2 weeks before xmas), I found the Viewsonic VFD823-50 Digital Photo Frame - 8-inches, 4:3 Ratio, Slideshows for sale from another vendor. For a $10 LESS than what I paid for this product (granted, it was a sale, but not it was only $10 off normal), I got the ViewSonic, free shipping AND bought a 2GB SD card for it. The ViewSonic is vastly superior in every way. I feel sheepish for having not done my research, but am lowering this product from 3 to 2 stars for now knowing what I didn't know before. Avoid this one and look harder for better products.
This digital frame is easy to work with and looks fine. The most lengthy part of the project was choosing and loading 328 photos onto a card, but once you pop the card in, you can just sit back and watch the slide show. We bought two as gifts, but we like them so much now we want one for ourselves!
Bought this attractive frame for those hard-to-buy-for elderly parents who don't really seem to need or want anything. Loaded a jump drive with family pictures, stuck the drive in to the frame and sent it to the parents in Florida. All the parents had to do was plug in the frame and, voila, they had an instant slide show! Great way to give a personalized gift.
I purchased this frame for my parents. I needed a frame that was easy to use and didn't have a bunch of options. This frame fit the bill nicely. It doesn't have any memory in the frame, but that was not an issue for me as I find it much easier to load pictures onto a very inexpensive SD card rather than connecting the frame to my laptop. Once on the card, simply pop it into the frame and you're good to go. My parents love the changing pictures, ease of use, and nice looking frame. I saw some complaints about resolution, but for this purpose, I feel the frame fits the bill perfectly. My only complaint is that there isn't an on/off switch.
My husband had me order this for him. We had looked in town at them, various sizes, prices and features. He isn't big on a lot of confusing features, so when we saw this one, read the reviews and liked the price, he had me order it.
The package arrived in super fast timing, which surprised us both. He borrowed my camera card and had pictures viewing in no time. I will say that the 'instructions' that come with it are a little weak in completely explaining things, but it's easy enough to figure out.
One feature (if it's there we haven't discovered it yet) that he was hoping for was being able to control the amount of time for the pictures to be viewed. It seems to flip through them at a pleasing clip, but sometimes you'd like them viewed just a bit longer, and not just putting on the one picture hold feature. Otherwise, he seems to be happy with his purchase, and now that I've gotten to play with his, I'm thinking about one of my own in the near future. - Digital Frame - Digital Picture Frame - Photo Frame - Digital Frames'
