Wire Stapler - cable, staple gun
As a staple gun, this is a well designed and constructed piece of equipment. As a cable tacker, the ability to use curved staples is great for some wires such as speaker wire or antenna/cable. However, I'm not happy with it for use with Ethernet cable. The force of the stapler crimps the cable even with the curved staples and the "Hi/Lo power adjustment" set to low. Also, I'm happy to see the power adjustment not listed as a feature here on Amazon, since it doesn't do anything that I can tell.
So if you need a cable tacker for sturdy cables that can withstand crimping and are within the dimensions of the staples available for this stapler, it's not a bad buy. If you are concerned about cable crimping, look elsewhere. Stanley CT10X Heavy Duty Staple Gun/Cable Tacker
I priced this stapler at several other places and found Amazon's price to be competitive. And as a Prime member with free shipping, the decision was easy.
This stapler is perfect for stringing romex in soft wood. If working with hardwoods, you may want to use hammer-in staples or be prepared to use a hammer to sink these staples deeper. Also, I recommend using heavier gauge staples when making the last attachments within 6" of the electrical box. - Stapler - Staple Gun - Cable - Staplers'
