Storage

Originally I was interested in purchasing a Balance Ball Chair, but at $70 and just starting out I decided to go with the Balance Ball Base, the less expensive way to go.

Not only does the base keep the ball from rolling while at your desk this unit will connect with an exercise strap for working out.

So for approximately $20 (Base and Shipping-shpg about same cost as the base) it's pretty worth it and very satisfied with it and perhaps even a better alternative to a Balance Ball Chair. Isokinetics Inc. Brand Exercise Ball Base

When I received the base, I was concerned that the lack of "feet" would cause unnecessary scratching on my wood floors. The reason is that entire base area rests on the floor vs. having pads, or coaster discs on the base where the 4 holes are.

But, really, what I wanted was casters in those four holes but I didn't want to pay up to $75 more for a "chair" base for my ball. So, I contacted Isokinetics to ask if they sold casters for this base... it seems as though it is designed for casters with the existing four holes. Their answer was no, they didn't offer that accessory.

So, I headed down to my local Home Depot to buy four light duty, ball-bearing casters... some bolts and hardware, all costing less than $14 and added them to the base. Voila, I had the more reasonably priced ball chair base that I wanted in the first place.

(I've posted a photo of the modified base on the product page.)

This is actually a really cool device because now my exercise ball doesn't roll all over the place. I use my ball at work as my desk chair and before I had the base I was constantly rolling all over. It was difficult to sit cross-legged on my ball, as well, although the rest of the office staff got a kick out of me falling heels over head.

Another neat thing about it is that there are hole in which I could hook up resistance weights hooked on cords so it keeps everything organised and handy.

This product is supposed to serve as a base for exercise balls that allows you to sit on the ball in a stable way . However, it does not serve this function at all! I have several sizes of balls and the base is not able to hold even one of them in place. It is simply not high enough.

I bought this to store my ball. I wasn't keen on having it rolling freely around my living space and this fits the bill. I haven't tried it for stabilization while sitting on the ball because I like the balancing which helps build core strength. It arrived looking just like the picture so there were no surprises. It isn't pretty but it definitely does the job.

Nothing fancy, does what it's supposed to do. This works well with my 75cm ball. Smaller and you may have issues. The base is good to use with a 75cm ball as a desk chair! I'm 5' 10" and it's perfect.

My Isokinetics Exercise Ball Base was delivered within the promised time span in excellent condition. My purpose for purchasing it was to have a place to store the inflated ball; this product is perfect for that and can also be used to stabilize the ball while in use. Upon receipt of the base I noticed that it could also be used to facilitate the use of a strength-training exercise cord, which I have been unable to find. If you have that item, I would like to be notified.'
